David Gramaje est en visite à l’UMR SAVE de décembre 2018 à mai 2019

Dr David Gramajeis is researcher at Biovitis Lab, Department of Viticulture of the Institute of Grapevine and Wine Sciences (ICVV, La Rioja, Spain)

He will work on the Project that received a José Castillejo Fellowship application, titled :

Spatial and temporal variation of microbial communities occuring during the propagation process in nurseries and their associates with young grapevine decline infections and abiotic stress conditions”.

The research objectives aim to take advantage of the latest in high-throughput sequencing technologies to address timely questions in fungal ecology and plant pathology. Grapevine trunk disease pathogens are very difficult plant pathogens to control and are becoming more problematic in grapevine nurseries. Field observations suggest that conditions of stress for the vines, stress from water deficit or root growth restriction are involved in inducing the occurrence of disease.

This project will be among the first to assess the population dynamics of total endophytic microbiota during the propagation process in grapevine nurseries and the effect of abiotic stress conditions on endophytic communities.
