Séminaire lundi 17 mai 2021 à 11h

Hola Kwame Adrakey, actuellement en post-doctorat dans l'UMR SAVE et travaillant sur le projet RISCA (PNDV) sur la direction de Fréderic Fabre, Adrien Rusch et Sylvie Malembic-Maher (UMR BFP), nous présentera l'exposé " Statistical modelling for spatio-temporal spread of Flavescence doree at field and landscape level" le lundi 17 mai 2021 à partir de 11h.

Résumé de l'exposé:

The control of highly infectious diseases of agricultural and plantation crops such as flavescence doree represents a key challenge in epidemiological and ecological modelling, with implemented control strategies often being not optimal. Mathematical models, including species distribution and mechanistic spatio-temporal stochastic modelling, are playing an increasing role in the design of control as agencies seek to strengthen the evidence on which selected strategies are based. In the first part of this talk, I will present my recent work on the use of species distribution modelling to identify local and landscape factors affecting the presence of Flavescence doree (FD), a quarantine disease, in the vineyards of South-West France. The second part will focus on an ongoing work involving among other things, the estimation of the dispersal function characterizing the distance at which FD is transmitted at field level, using mechanistic models. We will discuss the implication for management and control strategy e.g. how the outcome of these studies could help reducing pesticides against Flavescence doree.
